Lucia and Ricardo

Ciao!  My husband and I were married about a year ago and live in New York City.  We have practical jobs and are very practical well-planned people.  I have never been to Europe and have always dreamed of spending at least a year there.  I just didn't think a week or two would be enough.  It didn't take a lot of convincing to get my husband on board.  I think we both wanted to do something adventurous before settling down.

We decided to move to Italy in April 2011.  We have started to figure out the plans (again, we're planners).  We do not want to work (at least not normal jobs) and plan to quit our jobs when we leave.  Our employers obviously do not know about these plans yet, so we came up with new Italian pseudonyms.  We are not really I Love Lucy fans, but probably act like them at times.  Arrivederci means "til we meet again" or "farewell" in Italian, so that is for our friends and family who we're leaving.  Lucia, I'm Home (I Love Lucy nod) is what I hope we will feel when we arrive in Italy.  I invite you to follow us as we plan the "trip" as well as the time we spend in Europe.

Arrivederci!
