Last night, we went to the wine tasting dinner that we told you about. We met some fellow wine lovers and had a great time. We also went with a couple of our friends who love wine, food and traveling as much as we do. The food was fantastic. They made homemade pizza pies (bianco - my favorite!), risotto, dorade, skirt steak, gelato, etc. Every course was paired with a different wine. I have found that Italian wines are hit-or-miss. Perhaps I will figure out what I like while living there. We also learned the difference between Rosso di Multipulciano (sangiovese grapes from the Multipulciano region) and multipulciano (multipulciano grapes). It was not as educational as the classes we attended before, but definitely a great night!
Also, Ricardo and I are organizing a walk down the entire length of Manhattan for Parkinson's research. I have always wanted to walk the length (about 15 miles) and thought it would be wonderful to do it for a great cause. We are going to organize the event through the Michael J. Fox Foundation because they focus more on researching the causes and cures of Parkinson's. The plan for the walk is to stop along the way for lunch, snacks, drinks, etc. and really enjoy the walk. We would love to have our friends and family walk with us. Please let us know if you want to walk and we'll keep you posted on the plans. This should keep us busy for a few months!
Arrivederci!
